About Gossen & Schaller
Alee Gossen and Ryan Schaller met while in law school at the University of Oklahoma. Alee has spent her career developing a thriving solo practice, while Ryan gained experience working in-house at a Fortune 500 company and as an associate at two young and fast growing Oklahoma law firms. In 2019, the two decided to combine Alee’s experience with estate planning and juvenile law with Ryan’s real estate and surface title examination practice, to create a firm with affordable rates to serve the complete legal needs of their clients.

My passion is helping individuals, families, and business owners achieve peace of mind by developing and implementing creative, customized, and yet cost effective plans. As part of my goal-oriented estate planning process, I first seek to understand your goals and needs. My advice focuses on how your estate planning documents advance your goals. I use plain English and easy-to-understand visual aids, so you know what you need to do in order to ensure that your plan works the way you intend. My personal mission is to make estate planning as accessible, efficient and streamlined as possible so that individuals, families, and business owners are motivated to express their estate planning goals, and families and business partners do not have to deal with the disastrous fallout from a lack of planning.
In addition to creating estate plans, I work in the probate arena and assists families in implementing plans when loved ones pass away, and in setting up guardianships for minors, individuals with special needs, and individuals who can no longer manage their own affairs. I treat my clients like family, protecting their interests as if they were my own, and making sound recommendations to help them accomplish their planning goals.
In order to stay in-tune with the latest trends and developments in Estate Planning, I became an active member of WealthCounsel, a national community of top estate planning professionals committed to the highest standard of practice excellence. This collaborative organization, along with attending seminars taught by nationally recognized thought leaders, keeps me on the leading edge of the newest estate planning ideas and approaches.
I believe that effective estate planning is critical to the financial, physical, and emotional well-being of my clients, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be involved in the process.

After graduation from law school, I got my introduction to Oklahoma land title working briefly as an oil and gas imager/landman while studying for the Bar. This brief job put me on the path to focusing on title examination. I joined Ezzell & Shepherd, PLLC of Enid, Oklahoma, in October 2011, and focused on providing attorney title opinions for the firm’s bank clients, estate planning, guardianship, probate, and assisting the firm’s partners on business and commercial litigation.
I returned home to Oklahoma City in 2014 accepting a job as Underwriting Counsel with First American Title Insurance Company. Eventually rising to Senior Underwriting Counsel, I examined surface title, reviewed title work, developed educational materials, negotiated and approved title curative by outside attorneys, and worked on a number of special projects, such as condemnation and purchase opinions for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation’s turnpike expansion project and the development of electronic abstracts and paperless exam.
I left First American in 2018 to become the Real Estate Practice Lead at Munson & McMillin in Edmond, Oklahoma. There I developed a practice of examining surface title for a number of title insurance agents, assisted real estate clients with structuring their business and transactions, and began developing a set of forms and tools for dealing with creative techniques for financing real estate purchases.
I joined Alee to form Gossen & Schaller, PLLC in December 2019. My practice currently focuses primarily on surface title examination for insurers, lenders, and purchasers.
I’m also passionate about education. I prepare a Real Property Legislative Update CLE (lawyers) or CE (title insurer license) that I’m happy to give to any group within a reasonable drive of Oklahoma City. I also prepare a number of other presentations on Real Estate and Title issues in Oklahoma.
